Thanks for your interest in joining the Tide Wrestling Club. Below are the most pertinent details regarding registration requirements. The links for each of our registration options - clinic, season, coach and volunteer - are in the black bars under each respective header. Please ensure that you are selecting the applicable registration for your child.

Introduction to Wrestling Clinic

• The clinic is offered for athletes in 3rd-8th grade
• Registration for the introduction to wrestling clinic is open from Oct. 1st to Nov. 4th
• Registration must be completed prior to the start of the clinic.

Mat Monsters Registration - 2025 Season

• Registration is open from Oct. 1st through Nov. 5th
• The first day of practice is Nov. 8th
• All registrations for the 2025 season must be completed online prior to attending the Athlete's first practice.
  • Athletes will not be able to participate until a valid registration is completed.
• Registration Fees:
  • $50, includes a Mat Monsters t-shirt and a pair of grippy socks to be worn during practice

GYW and EEW Athlete Registration -2025-2026 Season:

• Registration for the 2025-2026 season is open from Oct. 1st through Nov. 29th
• The first day of practice is Nov. 17th
• All registrations for the 2025-2026 season must be completed online prior to attending the Athlete's first practice.
  • Athletes will not be able to participate until a valid registration is completed.
• Registration Fees:
  • Glencoe Youth Wrestling: $70, includes a Tide Wrestling T-Shirt
  • Evergreen Eagles Wrestling: $95, includes Tide Wrestling T-Shirt and warm-up apparel
  • Sibling discount: $10 off registration, contact the club for the discount code prior to registering
• You will see 2 options during registration, "Recreational" and "Competitive"
  • Recreational athletes attend practices and participate in matches during practice time. They do not wrestle at any Metro Youth Wrestling League events, USA Wrestling tournaments or interclub matches.
  • Competitive athletes have the opportunity to compete in Metro Youth Wrestling League events, USA Wrestling tournaments and inter-club matches. This level of membership requires a USA wrestling membership (see below)
    • Competitive wrestlers must attend a least 1 GYW  or EEW practice per week (barring illness) in order to compete in that week's scheduled event. Failure to attend practice will result in a wrestler not being entered in the event.
    • Competitive wrestlers must wear a Tide Wrestling Club branded singlets and/or shirts during competition. Personal singlets are not permitted.
• USA Wrestling Membership requirements:
  • Only wrestlers who plan to compete at Metro or USA Wrestling tournaments are required to have a current USA Wrestling Membership.
  • The cost of the membership ($65) is not covered by  TWC.
  • USA Wrestling memberships must be purchased through USA Wrestling. If your child has never wrestled with TWC before you will need to create a new athlete profile.
  • If your child has wrestled with TWC in previous years, they likely have a USA Wrestling profile. To claim that profile follow the instruction in this video. Once claimed, you will simply need to renew their membership.
  • When registering for the USA Wrestling membership make sure you affiliate the membership with Tide Wrestling Club.

TWC Competitive Coach Registration:

• All coaching registrations must be completed online.
• This registration is required for all individuals who will be coaching with Glencoe Youth and Evergreen Eagles Wrestling during competitions.
• Coaches require a USA Wrestling "Wrestling Leader" membership and clearance through USA Wrestling background check and SafeSport requirements.
  • USA Wrestling memberships must be purchased through USA Wrestling.
  • Tide Wrestling Club will reimburse coaches for the associated cost at the end of the season.
  • A valid USA Wrestling membership number is required as a part of registration. Do not register until you are cleared with USA Wrestling.

TWC Volunteer Coach and Club Volunteer Registration:

• Individuals interest in signing up as a volunteer choach of as a club volunteer do not require a USA Wrestling membership.
• Volunteers are required to complete a general background screening.
  • This screening is conducted a a part of your registration.
  • This is conducted at no cost to you.
